Nurture Group

About the Nurture Group

Nurture Landscapes Group was founded on April Fools’ Day, 2008, in the picturesque Surrey town of Windlesham. Founder Peter Fane, together with three other members, set out to deliver a best-in-class grounds maintenance service that also cared for the environment at the same time, focusing on long-term income streams.

Fast forward, and The Nurture Group is now a multi-award winning national service provider consisting of three established companies providing ‘one stop’ integrated services to a wide and diverse client base across the UK. The companies are:

Nurture Landscapes

Provide Grounds Maintenance, Interior & Exterior Plant Displays, and Winter Gritting to a wide range of clients predominantly in the corporate sector.

Gavin Jones

Provide landscape construction services to commercial and private clients and landscape maintenance services largely to government and MOD sites, public open spaces, the educational sector, and royal parks and palaces.

Rokill

One of the UK’s leading pest control companies, also holding the Royal Warrant to Her Majesty the Queen.

The Group has expanded through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions of family-owned companies, allowing us to provide a local service with the resources of a national company. We have come a long way since 2008, going from a four-person team to a national contractor. We now have 11 regional offices with 70 depots, we managed 12,500 sites with over 3,900 clients. From humble beginnings, we now employ more than 1,600 permanent members of staff and 55 apprentices. We were proud to be the first accredited Real living wage employer in the horticultural industry.

Clients benefit from receiving directly delivered services, through local teams, committed to providing a consistently high-quality service with the benefits of drawing upon the skills and expertise across a National company.

We combine the best of both worlds and have adhered to our founding principles As a result of our core culture at Nurture, of integrity, pride, and respect, we have received multiple awards for our innovative work.  2022 was a notable year for this recognition when we received 6 BALI, RoSPA Health and Safety Gold Medals, multiple Green Apple, 4 Green Flags, and London In Bloom awards.

Our differentiated service offering means that we have a diverse portfolio of clients from various B2B markets.

Despite such incredible growth and success, the Nurture ethos is, and always will be, to nurture people and the environment, our clients, and our staff. We have remained true to our name and pioneered environmental innovation in many areas.

We passionately care about the environment. Not only are we actively working to reduce our environmental impact, but we are also influencing our suppliers and our customers to collaborate in the best sustainable partnerships. We see our societal footprint as being equally important and strive to ensure that our colleague’s well-being is taken care of and that we have a positive impact on the communities in which we operate and live.
